If you're gonna come back, come back in May. Memphis knows how to throw a party, and we have one that is all month long. :)

I agree with all of this, especially don't discount all the food on Beale for lunch or an early dinner, there are some great restaurants. We also have Sun Studios, which depending on how into music your kids are, they might enjoy. https://www.sunstudio.com/ The Memphis Zoo is really great...

They are the same. It is a local chain. The one in east Memphis, to me, is a little bigger. But, the atmosphere and food is great in all of them.

It is a little bit, so if you want to avoid that crowd, although there is an amazing pub worth hitting called Celtic Crossing, I would head over to Overton Square. Big selection of food and bars, and just a little north of Cooper/Young.

My husband is on a Memphis is May Championship team called The Usual Saucepects. They were in the top 10 a couple of years ago, and are known as a team like LOOOOOVES to have a good time, as well as make good food.

I have never seen a white sauce, and most places will do sauce or a dry rub.

It's kind of like us and UT, except we have always been the little brother, and they can't stand it that Tennessee only has 1 top 25 team, and it isn't them.

Central BBQ. There are a couple of locations, so probably one near where you are staying. I haven't found anything on the menu that I don't like, but I love their BBQ nachos. Edited to add: We also serve beer in the stadium. Just putting that out there.

The Four Points would be a better option. You would be close to the interstate, and Poplar is a main artery, and you could even take it all the way downtown.

Liberty Bowl Roll Call: Who's going?

I’d call ASAP. The last I heard all the rv spots were gone, but I may be wrong. Call the ticket office and check.

I was going to like this, then I saw the last line. I am not predicting a winner, but I think the game will be much closer than that.

I actually remember when you guys were here last. Not because I went to the game, but my husband DJed the New Years for your band and cheerleaders. He said y'all were a fun crowd. I look forward to meeting y'all and having a good time. And, I agree about the warm and sunny, but if it makes...

My husband stayed there for BBQ Fest one year, it's easier than driving home every night ;), and he said it's nice. It is north of Beale, but with Uber and the trollies, that shouldn't be a big deal.

Can I ask what hotel in Cordova? It's an ok part of town. Typical suburban, not a whole lot of night life. I'd plan on parking at the hotel, and Ubering, alot. Midtown and downtown are where the action will be. Edited: I just saw you are staying off of I40, which isn't too bad for midtown...

My husband, who is on a World Championship BBQ Cooking team, and I were just talking, and he was saying in Southaven, if he had to choose, he would go to Memphis BBQ Company, and skip Interstate. https://www.memphisbbqco.com/

Seriously, go to The Arcade Restaurant. If you will be here a couple of days, go for breakfast one morning. You will thank me. http://arcaderestaurant.com/

Huey's and Interstate are both good choices. I don't get into Mississippi much, so I don't know about Crawfish Haven.
