Hope they treated you well at Gibson’s. It’s a local favorite, not only for the donuts, but because of the owner and his staff.

    Tailgating after the game?

No matter the outcome. Tailgating in and around tiger lane always continues. Some people only stay long enough for traffic to die down, others will stay for hours.

    Tiger Lane Tailgating Spots

Perfectly safe! Our tailgate crew is anchored in the rv lot, and the couple always stays, either the night before or the night after, depending on game time. They have never had a problem.

Best Eats in Memphis (so far)

Since y'all were here last, Memphis has also had a couple of amazing microbreweries pop up. If you get a chance to try one of Wiseacre's brews, do it. Take a chance and try the Gotta Get Up to Get Down - if you like coffee. Check out there story and varieties here: https://wiseacrebrew.com/

Liberty Bowl Roll Call: Who's going?

During tailgating, it's ok, but during games in the Bowl, it's spotty at best. And, I'm sure as many people will be on the network, it will slow down even more. AT&T and Verison are the best in the area.

Liberty Bowl Roll Call: Who's going?

We have a great Uber network, but I'm sure they will be super busy the weekend of the game, so wait times may be closer to what you would expect for a cab, but that's just a guess.

Memphis Fans Welcome Iowa State Fans

I have already asked my husband if he thinks our crew will be good with allmy new Iowa State friends. His response, “If they put up with our friends from Ole Miss tailgating a couple of years ago, they should be ok with these guys.” Already so excited for this game!!

Memphis Fans Welcome Iowa State Fans

During regular season games, there are beer sellers who walk the stadium during game time; they also sell sweet tea (it’s a southern thing), and hot chocolate, if it’s cold. But, bring cash, if you wanna stay in your seats, no cards for those guys.

I was more making the point that there is lots we won’t know, until game day.

    Liberty Bowl Sold Out

Gentlemen, Can we just say the Liberty Bowl will be packed, the game will be amazing, and the tailgating will be epic?? Both side thinks their team is better, and it won’t be decided until Dec 30, so why argue, now? Let’s make plans to tailgate, and drink some drinks, and have fun! Signed, A...

    Liberty Bowl Sold Out

Memphis has just finished our 4th winning regular season in a row, and that’s never happened before. So, many native Memphians are UT fans (or, Ole Miss, or Alabama, or Arkansas), since people like supporting teams who can win and make it to bowl games, more often than the Tigers. That is...

Liberty Bowl Roll Call: Who's going?

I just checked and it looks like Amazon has clear bags with the ISU colors and logo. As long as the purse is clear vinyl, no tinted or colored translucent vinyl, it should work, no matter what style, and you can have a small change purse or wallet in the bag.

That’s true, but if they want to be with other ISU fans, Beale St might be where they need to go. The Blues Hall and B.B. King’s on Beale are actually great venues to see blues and live music, so we shouldn’t discount Beale completely. Just my $.02.

Best Eats in Memphis (so far)

I agree with this wholeheartedly for game day, but if you're in town for an extended stay, I recommend trying some of our local food. Memphis knows how to do some good food, of all kinds.

Agree with all of this, but Beale will be full of tourists, but it can be fun, and the live music is really good.

Liberty Bowl Roll Call: Who's going?

I am not sure if you had made plans, but I'd stay closer. West Memphis is ok, and I know from tailgating for every home game, True Blue Tiger Fans show up early and get the best spots. It seems like you ISU fans are the same way, so the earlier you could get there, and claim a spot, the better.

I like the way this game is shaping up...

I would LOVE that. I was already telling my kids that we may have to go meet all of our new ISU friends.
