If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

It would mean Sun Belt > Big 12 > B1G.

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

More and more as we move forward towards a different kind of viewing market…crappy and boring play on the field, which the B1G outside of OSU personifies, will effect revenue. The B1G desperately needs an infusion of “good”, “exciting” football…one team worth watching (OSU) will catch up to even...

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

My god man...can you read? Let me lay out in easy terms. Iowa State has a real shot at getting an invite to one of the other P5's. If it does not, the new Big 12 will still be a P5 conference with solid payouts...though a bit less than we get today. That's the scenarios at play...and in either...

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

You have no clue which conferences want or don't want "6 of us". None of us do and neither do the talking heads in sports media. You know who does....The AD's and Presidents and the Commissioners of the conferences in question. None of us...and the sports media chatterers...will have any clue...

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

I don't think "nobody wants Iowa State". Quite the opposite actually. But that doesn't mean we don't do EVERY damn thing we can until that invite comes to make sure the new Big 12 is as good as it can be. And elevating two solid programs, does not result in us getting far less...if that were the...

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

I'd like to welcome Hawkeye fan Brodie to the discussion...he's "dumbing" my pro Big 12 comments like a good Hawk should! Keep it up...its precisely how I know I'm hitting the sweet spot.

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

Not really....OSU would NEVER let Cinci in the B1G and their academics lock them out of the ACC and PAC. As those would be our only 3 realistic options for conference jumping it doesn't impact us in that regard at all.

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

Make them P5...and that changes very quickly.

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

Indiana is highly rated and picked by many to challenge OSU in the East with hopes to play in the conference championship game. Likewise for Iowa. Nebraska is a legendary and "elite" program we're told. Maryland part of the great new "adds" to make for stronger conference. Not sure where you're...

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

Please don't say Pitt. They fake their game attendance numbers and its still bad.

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

Performance eventually matters...case in point being the PAC. They suck on the field and so nobody cares when they play. If the B1G continues in that vein...admittedly a much more committed fan base...that eventually impacts pay and everything else. Its about markets. But its not ONLY about...

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

We'll see which conferences are better on the field very soon. WVU v Maryland Iowa State v Iowa OU v Nebraska Cincinnati v Indiana You'll note that of those 4 are likely in the "new" Big 12...so I guess we'll see how the future leagues compare. My guess is new Big 12 goes 3-0...what's your...

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

They WILL keep the name. And as I said, play better football than the ACC and PAC...and often better than the B1G on the field. Best of all...they'll keep that access to the playoffs that comes with being P5. Losing OUUT sucks and of course will be felt deeply...that can be true whilst it is...

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

And still the Big 12 exists. One of us isn't understanding how this works, and it sure ain't me.

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

People care about good football....across the nation. Why do you think Gameday came here in 2019...and quite likely is coming again next week? Clue...its not because nobody cares about football here.

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

How will there not be a Big 12?

If the B12 remains intact and moves forward

Out comes the HAWKEYE! I knew you were in there...and I knew your stale, wrong assumptions would rise to the top. You can't not be what you are, as they say. Crushing Iowa on Gameday says....new paradigm in this state. Beating OU and going to the playoffs would say...new paradigm and new...
