I’ve heard it’s a good chance we go to Omaha if we’re a 3 seed but may get shipped out West if we’re a 2 seed. My understanding is that you play closer to home the higher you are seeded. Why would we potentially get shipped out / penalized for being a higher seed? Thanks in advance.

We may be the 2 seed in the West Regional but the 1st/2nd round games would be in Omaha in that scenario
 
I’m hoping the officials don’t cave to incessant whining from opposing coaches that is sure to come when these other teams play Big 12 teams.

Kansas higher 2 seed gets Omaha. Better to get high 3 unless Kansas falls to a 3.
 
Your first round site has no correlation with which regional you’re in. It just matters how high on the seed list you are compared to others close to that location.
