1. Was curious to know.... if you could choose to see any musical artist/group of all time, which one would you choose.... AND at what venue?

2. In addition.... if you could see any CURRENT musical artist/group, which one... and where?

-This is almost an impossible thing to answer for me, and probably for many of you. Groups like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, etc came to mind almost immediately for me... but after thinking about it for quite a while.... a different name came to mind... and rose to the top... and now I can't come up with something better no matter how hard I try to move them down the list..... Michael Jackson. I know NUMEROUS people are going to ridicule me for that answer and laugh me out of the conversation, but when I factor in everything.... music, entertainment value, showmanship, etc, etc, etc.... I think that would be hard to beat. And the venue for that wouldn't really matter all that much IMO... I'll just say Madison Square Garden... or something like that? I'm sure there would be MUCH better venues, just can't think of any off the top of my head. Someone else can help me with that part. A close 2nd would probably be Pink Floyd though.

As for the 2nd question.... I've always wanted to see The Cure, so maybe I'd go with them? I think they are still touring? And I've always wanted to go to Red Rocks, so I'll say there. Honorable Mention right now for me might be Mt. Joy.... only because that's who I've been mostly listening to currently probably. So that answer could change next week. I'd like to see Gorillaz too!

Nirvana would be the all time band.

MTV Unplugged session would have been amazing to be at.

I love the small, acoustical and intimate nature off the new Vibrant Hall in Waukee. But as a recently disabled person, that’s more about being close without having to be in general admission standing.

I came close to my dream band/venue back in '90 when I saw The Replacements play at the Col Ballroom in Davenport. But if I could see anything from the past, I'd say The Replacements at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake.

For current, I'd like to see Ludovico Einaudi at the London Royal Albert Hall.

Led Zeppelin at the Guthrie in Minneapolis.
Legend has it, that this is where the term “head banging “ originated. Fans at stage were banging their heads on the front of the stage to the beat.

This is more of a time travel thing for me but I'd like to see a lot of big names in their beginnings just to see what it was like. Like when Johnny Cash or Elvis were playing gymnasiums, Buddy Holly, etc.

Conversely I saw Rage in 2007 at Alpine Valley on their little come back and that was the perfect venue for that timing and situation. It rained all day prior so it was just a mess by the time the openers were done.

1. Neil Young & Crazy Horse circa the '90's at the Orpheum in Omaha. This is really an impossibly difficult choice, but I'd be fine with that.

2. Larkin Poe &/or Jenny Don't and the Spurs at Ryman Auditorium.
