Reed Sheppard is our choice for midseason freshman of the year. Like a lot of players on this list, he has exceeded expectations.

I would not blame them being mad Freeman wasn't mentioned. He has played really well.Besides how Milan steps up and wants the ball in the big moments, I am also really impressed how much he has built up his defensive game, and doing a better job fighting for rebounds.
Hawks will be mad Freeman was left off that list.
I said this in the game thread, but I took a diehard NBA/Spurs fan with me to the game against Kansas State. Not a guy who watches much or follows college basketball at all even in March.
I could see him falling in love with Milan on a play-by-play basis.
His game is going to translate "up" very well.
Lottery pick by the end of this year is a little crazy. I love you're thinking it, but I would take that bet in a heartbeat.I'd be amazed if he isn't a lottery pick by the end of this year. That "Dirk" move at his size is special, and his jumpshot translates. He's proven to be a serviceable defender and you can work with him on his handles.
Or was instrumental in a deep tournament run for ISU.Lottery pick by the end of this year is a little crazy. I love you're thinking it, but I would take that bet in a heartbeat.
Still, Milan is incredible and I believe, like most of you, that he will also be a pro. I think we'll have a few additional years to go, however. Will be great for ISU if he's still around a while.
If he somehow does get to that "lottery pick" status you predict by the end of the year, WOW, it will mean he raised his game even more and showed a little more than what he's already showed.

I think Watson could slide into the Tre King role. Not sure who else would be in the big rotation though. JT Rock, a transfer 5, and then Kayden Fish or small ball?If he did leave this year it would really put ISU in a hard spot with their bigs considering Omaha may not be back next year either.
