Looks like a good balanced lineup that we can certainly compete for.

Was thinking about making the trip last minute as it’s only a couple weeks away.

Anyone going? Did you buy all sessions? Seems to be plenty of seats available.

Looking at current rankings and standings, the Cyclones are positioned very well in the bracket. FAU v TA&M may take a lot out of both teams.

Where is everyone staying? I got a ton of points on Marriott and just debating where at this point. They all seem family oriented or just bland. Not sure I want to stay downtown but it might be the move for someone like me

We just grabbed an airbnb near Disney. Pretty affordable for it being one of the busiest weeks of the year at the parks.

As an aside, we looked into going to one of the parks on the Saturday since there's no basketball and I was shocked at the cost for a 1-day ticket these days. We're gonna go explore Cape Canaveral instead and geek out for a fraction of the cost.

Projected spreads via KenPom:

ISU -12 vs Penn St
ISU -11 vs VCU
ISU -10 vs Butler
ISU -9 vs Boise St
ISU -8 vs Virginia Tech
ISU -2 vs FAU
ISU pick 'em vs Texas A&M
That’s cool. I didn’t realize we could maybe win this b*tch.

Wow, VCU lost to McNeese St

They have two transfer Senior guards who can play a bit - one from Utah State who is started hot (10-17 from 3) and one who rode the bench at Michigan for 2 years who has started cold (3-16 from 3). Both appear to be turnover prone and will not have faced anything like our defense. They have some size but it's all young.

Boise St is a top-75 team and they beat a decent San Francisco team (by 5)

Virginia Tech is a borderline top-50 team who lost a close game to a so-so South Carolina team last week.

I saw on espnBet/barstool Sportsbook they had a future on this tournament. Took Iowa State +400 to win. FAU and A&M were the 2 favored ahead of us

VCU has 126 posts already about our game on their forum. That is Big 12 passion. Let's expand with those guys.

Hope we aren't overlooking them. VCU has started slow, but they are a perennial NCAA Tournament team.

If you go, please post reports about your observations that might not make it into C-Dub's articles and podcasts.

Went and read the thread, I think they are realistic about it. Nice to see the thread get derailed discussing HAVOC. It was good to see that CF isn't the only board to have threads go off on tangents. Hope we handle them and advance.

I got my plane and hotel booked. And courtside hospitality tickets for the VCU game plus the VT vs Boise game. Haven’t decided if I want to do that all weekend or not.

But I’ll see what I can write up. Not nearly as good as CW or Blum on those things haha

Doing anything for the football game on Saturday?

For those making the trek to Orlando, I must recommend the greatest breakfast/brunch spot that I've ever found, Se7enbites. It's in the Milk District, which is just east of downtown, and they are only open Sat/Sun this week due to T-giving. My favorites are the Minnie Pearl, 3 Little Pigs and 7th Trimester.

Also, while you're in the area, might as well stop at Kelly's Ice Cream (several locations) and Gideon's Bakehouse (they have a location at Disney Springs as well).

Give us more of a TGNC report, not a W&B report. Give updates on C-Dub's pinkeye (or whatever ailment he has this week). Perhaps engage in some live tweeting with Mike Williams and/or Don Hassel.
