I'm a MASSIVE Fincher fan. I don't think any of his movies are bad and that includes Alien 3. I actually saw this in the theater this week. It's so...*******...great. It's now on Netflix starting today...WATCH IT.

Other than the lack of explanation as to how an egg was planted on the Sulaco, or how one facehugger can implant multiple hosts, Alien 3 is a fantastic movie. Dillon's speech is one of the best in cinematic history:
The overall movie is fine, but the fact that they killed off Hicks and Newt in the opening scene ruins the whole movie for me. That was unforgivable. It's unfairly given a label as a horrible movie due to the production drama between Fincher and producers. Production won out and got basically what they wanted but mannnnnn I really would love to see Fincher's true vision of what that movie was gonna be. Is it GREAT? No...but it's honestly the third best of the entire Alien franchise and it has some stunning cinematography.
And what about Jonesy the cat?!The overall movie is fine, but the fact that they killed off Hicks and Newt in the opening scene ruins the whole movie for me. That was unforgivable.
Dunno...it's based on a book so not sure if that's a big criticism of it but it might be.It was alright, Fassbender was good, the whole thing was super light on plot though, we basically knew nothing about any character including the main character. Really cool fight scene though and the movie looked great.
Seemed odd that #1 they just wounded the girlfriend but then let her live? And #2 since they knew she survived, none of these trained assassins expected The Killer to look for the people that did it?

#1 she said she escaped and hid in the forest. She injured the brute so they probably had to leave.
#2 Hodges said that he knew the rules and assumed that he would have gone off the grid halfway across the world. The killer is constantly repeating the mantra to himself… but he doesn’t follow it.
I loved it but I absolutely loved the vibe. I can’t think of a movie I’ve liked more this year.
But then why would they go to his house looking for him if they assumed he'd be off the grid?
What are you even doing with your life?I dunno I’m not a contract killer.
Same. I also think the lone scene between The Killer and Tilda Swinton might go down as my favorite scene of any movie this year. I just ******* loved it.#1 she said she escaped and hid in the forest. She injured the brute so they probably had to leave.

Yeah, I feel like it needed like 6 more hours to tell us who any of those people were.Just finished the last bit. I thought it was okay. I feel like this would have been way better served as a limited series. You just don’t get much context on any of the characters.
