Not against it, just don’t have a need for one. If I have my wallet, keys, and cellphone I can go just about anywhere and do anything.
My main thought is "what the heck do you have to carry around everywhere that needs something bigger than your pocket?"
I mean, what you got in there? Mining equipment?

I have a wife so that she can carry anything that won't fit in my pockets
What got me thinking about them is all of the stuff I keep accumulating for health reasons. Like, I have a pill container with 3 med compartments, a packet of BleedStop due to 2 blood thinners, eyeglass cleaner, pocket knife, keys, phone, airpods, etc. Not a big fan of the idea but got me thinking.
That's a bit different as it would be pretty hard to get around with all that stuff.
Phone in left front pocket, small leatherman, box cutter and chapstick in right front pocket, wallet in back right pocket. Used to carry a can of skoal in the back left but I quit that a few years ago.
Went away from a carry bag to a backpack for work years ago, and it's worked out really well.
I carry 17 extra mags, 6 knives, and 4 blocks of C4 in mine.
Yep, the utility offered by a fanny pack is far outweighs any old stigmas they might have. I have some athletic shorts that don't have pockets, so having something that doesn't require me to carry things in my hands is great. Though I tend to wear mine across my body instead of my waist.
