Insights, considerations, news, good, bad...to me, it is kind of amazing the size of BIG XII territory in 2024 (Florida, W. Virginia, Iowa, Colorado, Arizona to Texas).

No, I have no thoughts on this. Does Arizona even have a women's team?

Last year Colorado was a 20 NET and Arizona 27. Texas and ISU were the only Big 12 teams higher than those.

Colorado has nearly everyone back from a sweet 16 team from last year.

Arizona has a powerhouse WBB team! They will have a perennial top 15 team, if not top 10.
Home attendance averages about 7,800 fans. They played in the WBB national championship final game in 2021.

I am 100% in the "show something on the court" opinion for all of the additions in WBB. At least the two latest additions are playing well right now and have had NCAA appearances in 2023 and aren't bottom dwellers like the other four additions.

Adding Arizona does add some strength back as they have not sucked lately. The league, for WBB, is looking to be a shadow of it's former strength and this at least adds a team back into the mix. They had an improbable Final Four run a few years ago. They've been NCAA the last three years under new coach but can she keep it up? Only six NCAA appearances this century. The recent track record is good.

Less for Colorado. Despite their ranking and Sweet Sixteen this last year they have only 6 NCAA appearances this century and only 2023 to show for the last 10 years.

Arizona's had a revolving door since their F4 appearance.

4 departures in '21 -- including Manumaleuga (TCU)
8 in '22 -- including Gret Asi (OKST), Sanchez (KSU), and Vonleh (COL)
7 in '23 -- including Conner (TCU) and Fields (OKST > AZ > WVU). Esmery Martinez (formerly WVU) was in the portal from AZ, but came back
