I'm not saying that's shocking. But how a movie like Superbad is a #1 seed to an Oscar winning best picture movie is...suspect.

Humor is very subjective. Rating movies is very subjective. Put the two together, and well.... you get the idea.

totally agree. but going off of a highly regarded entity like AFI (American Film Institute) seems like a good starting point. Recency bias is clearly showing here.

It was a tough process, lots of considerations. We wanted to make sure there was representation among the top seeds from movies of different eras and not be too heavy with comedies from the 70s-80s. There was a lot of discussion and we knew not everyone would agree on some of the seedings.

AFI doesn't have historical bias? You want the bracket to be full of movies from the 40's and 50's?

I've never understood popularity with Tropic Thunder. I gave it a solid 30 or 40 minutes and wasn't impressed.

Plus it's a favorite of Travis Justice and anything he likes I take with a huge grain of salt.
