You know it’s not named after him right?
Oooh, trivia time! I have another clue. The namesake of the Browns also has an NFL stadium named after him, but it's not the Brown's home stadium.

Read the article on ESPN. Didn’t realize that he had that many run ins with the law.

Watching old NFL highlights is always a bit jarring.
Are they slowing it down for effect? Or are players nowadays just that much bigger and faster?
That being said, watching that highlight reel... there's a level of power, balance, speed, and just outright confidence in his running that defenders couldn't have hoped to match.
Some of his acting work in the 1990s when I was growing up was memorable, too --

RIP to a legend who has as much claim as anybody to have been the greatest player of all.

My dad who was around his age said he was the greatest football player he had ever seen. IIRC during warmups Jim Brown would just do pushups at midfield while staring at the opposing team.
I don’t want this thread to go sideways but there’s definitely a distinction between the two.
