Chittum is a gigantic flip to making this a competitive dual.

Ayala maj ISU 4-0.
Teske dec Frost 7-0.
Woods maj Redding 11-0
Paniro dec Iowa 11-3
Chittum maj Iowa 11-7
Carr dec Kennedy 11-10
Brands dec Gaitan 14-10
Assad dec ISU 17-10
Yonger maj Iowa 17-14 (curious if they can get Keuter here for one of his 5)
Cassiopi fall ISU 23-14.

Need to flip at least 1 more weight to make things real interesting. If there is any truth to the rumor of Ayala leaving, that’d be huge.

Ayala is going to be really good, but I feel decent about our 125 room even if we don’t make any more additions.

Grice or Frost beat Teske. If Redding stays 133, he beats Teske.

Need to see who we get (if we do get anyone) at 84.

Regardless of who we get at heavy, Cass will win.

We’ll see. I also think our 125s are solid, just not near Ayala solid.

We’ll have to wait and see on Grice, his results in college so far do not show indication that he can beat Teske.

Here's my poor mans guess as to an early prediction for the Iowa v Iowa State dual. I used the wrestlestat for the rosters. If rumors are true and Ayala is injured or wants out of Iowa that could be a big swing, I think it might be an 8 point swing. I have Ayala wrestling for the Hawks and the final being 20-17 Hawks, gonna have to steal at least one. Obvious would be 125 like I stated earlier, and I think the other winnable weight is 174 but MJ needs to make a massive jump in the offseason.

I said it earlier that I expect Ayala to be good, but I also expect Cabanban/Perryman to be able to keep that to a decision, if not be right there (this is all assuming Ayala is not wrestling for ISU, @Tigerguy_ gave me hope)

I’m going to hold that thought on a few weights. I think both teams will keep trying to add dudes but as of today this seems pretty close to me.

If Chittum comes right in and beats up on Kraisser, he’s an immediate AA contender cus I think if Kraisser improves this off-season like he did throughout 22-23, he’d be a blood round guy at minimum.

Be awesome if they make 157 the final match. Doubt Brands would accept it though.

Can't wait to hear him ***** about facing us 6 of the last 7 years in Ames.

Sorry for the dumb question. Casual wrestling fan here. Is Swiderski redshirting to let his shoulder heal or transferring? Several articles I read about Chittum transferring list a tough middleweight lineup with Swiderski in it but most of you haven’t included him. Thanks.
