Headed to the SW Wisconsin for trout fishing. Will be in the Prairie Du Chien, Lancaster, Mt Ida area.

Any campground recommendations?

Thanks

Wyalusing State Park near Prairie Du Chien I think is pretty cool but I've never camped there.

There's lots of spots in Grant County along the Mississippi that are probably fine for just having a home base with a tent. Probably cheaper and less busy than the state park route as well.

If you'd like PM me with questions about streams; I've spent some good times around Fennimore and there's some quasi-obscure campgrounds around there.

@madguy30 @stormchaser2014 I would include cowgirl but don't think she trout fishes.

Recommendation I have, Potosi beer sucks balls, the town does also, stay away.
Potosi beer simply isn't good, but the brewery is home to the ARBA National Brewery Museum which is pretty fascinating. The brew pub itself is also a neat venue. Just go into each pint with remarkably low expectations and you'll have a good time.

Yeah, pretty spot on. It’s an amazing place to visit, but the beer itself is meh

i grew up in Montfort. Be sure to check out trout streams in that area. Also check out friday night fish fry in Montfort or Livingston

what is tavern of the game?
The Brewers do a tavern of the game each game. If the tavern calls the Brewers by 10am tomorrow morning, they will receive 40 tickets to a Friday night home game in the Miller Lite Beer Pen. This offer is presented courtesy of the Tavern League of Wisconsin and Miller Lite.
