Win total odds for the season set at 5.5, thoughts?

Win Totals came out today and they're about where I thought. We're pegged at 5.5. I think we get 6 wins personally but it ain't gonna be easy.

It's what I thought it would be:

(FWIW I think the over under will be anywhere from 5.5 to 6.5)

I would take under on TT.
I would take over on Baylor.
I would take under on KU.
I would take under on UT for sure. With Bama as a noncon 9.5 will be very tough IMO.

Especially Houston. They've got a really soft non-con schedule (UTSA, at Rice, Sam Houston) and 5 league home games with a coach that's been in the Big 12 before.

Such a tough schedule for us.

If we get five wins we will be where I expect and that’s if we have some good things happen. Anything better than that is a major success. Sadly we’ve fallen to the bottom of the conference again.

Who knows what we could do with an average offense.

I always suspected Breece masked a lot of offensive deficiency but I think I somehow under-appreciated Purdy too.

Breece was the ultimate player who would bust 2 huge runs to get us 14-10 points in a game where the offense otherwise sucked. We shouldn’t need the best running back in college football (and a top QB) to have an average offense that can protect the ball and move the ball a little to compliment the defense.

I’d take the under. Not optimistic this year. We probably win one or two we shouldn’t and lose one we shouldn’t. Five wins seems about right.

Top 2 team one season (split with OU) but not the best program.

KU's a toss up and KSU was at one time worse but they more than made up for it with dominance at times over the last 30 years, and Tech is historically decent.

It's a really seldom thing and hard to maintain.

That said, 6 wins would be at least progress but still pretty 'meh' though.
