What is your favorite under-the-radar summer behavior you are excited to do?

I’m not meaning big huge planned activities, I mean low-key everyday stuff that you do in the summer that you don’t in other seasons. Grilling on the back deck instead of the garage, reading a book in a hammock instead of on the couch, taking a run at a park instead of the treadmill. These are just different ways you approach everyday things in summer.

What are yours?

Looking forward to that perfect Iowa summer meal -- a grilled ribeye and sweet corn.
A BLT with sweet corn is also an acceptable substitute.

Oh, and patio beers.
Summer time cooking to us is so much less messy than winter time.
Steam a veggie in the microwave, have a side salad, grill some meat, fire up the smoker.

The smoker.

A. getting the convertible out and just driving around with the top down in the evenings. So nice.

B. laying in the hammock in the shade, with a beer, maybe a book, just listening to the birds and the breeze and the cicadas later in the summer.

Or the Friday song even if it's not Friday!

Golf, always. Looking forward to walking our dogs. Didn't get them out the last few years for whatever reason (we had 3 at the time and it seemed like it could be a mess).

My boy Lemmy is very timid, so I took him for a couple walks on his own last year just to acclimate him to it. Lots of ground hugging and lots of encouragement needed, but last night he did a little better with our younger pup who was on her first walk. She was like a duck in water, so that got him moving a little better.
