This is a bummer. Hate to lose an Iowa kid. I figured a guy like him plus new OL and strength coaches would have been a great match. I wonder what the story is here.

He was d line and switched to o line. There were rumors last year of maybe swapping positions correct? Maybe he didn't want to do that?
Randy Peterson reported it as Dekkers. Time for Randy to retire!

Deyo's roster page has him listed at 280lbs, and he came in at 270lbs according to 247. That just isn't big enough to be a P5 OL.
Did he really?
270 lbs is big enough to play DE. Wasn't Deyo quick and twitchy on his high school team. I just hope he isn't leaving to go play DE at Iowa.Deyo's roster page has him listed at 280lbs, and he came in at 270lbs according to 247. That just isn't big enough to be a P5 OL.
Iowa burned that bridge. Don’t think he’s P5 level anyway from what I’ve heard.270 lbs is big enough to play DE. Wasn't Deyo quick and twitchy on his high school team. I just hope he isn't leaving to go play DE at Iowa.
