surely if we are allowing teams to throw bags of cash at wrestlers on other teams that aren't even in the transfer portal, we should be allowing political refugees the opportunity to compete

The NCAA is just riddle on how/why they decide what's approved or not. In a nutshell, you can get 7 or 8 years to compete as an athlete in certain NCAA sports, but heaven forbid you defect from an oppressive Communist regime because then you are SOL.

But I am sure Penn State or Ohio State would have gotten him eligible for a season, just not ISU.
