Go spend the night in Asheville. That is a neat town.Since the men play on Friday at 2:10 PM and the women play on Saturday at a time TBD, I google mapped the drive.
Looks like it's about 4.5 hours for those interested.

The drive through Asheville on 40 is not terrible. This is a multi-lane interstate the whole way. If you are unsure at all, stay in Asheville and enjoy that city. Great food and beer then drive over the mountains in the morning. Would recommend this for route if you want to experience Asheville. That may be a tough trip in the dark I suspect you might be going up and down a ton of mountains but someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.
Just drove through Ashville on 40 heading to Hilton Head. Really slow around Ashville due to bridge construction. Added nearly an hour to our trip. The drive through Asheville on 40 is not terrible. Do not try to take the route through Boone in the dark. Those are mountain roads and not fun to drive in the dark.
The route through Virginia is the easiest drive as far as traffic and driveability. Typically less truck traffic in general. This is our preferred route when going to Tennessee.

Ashville is experiencing tremendous growth. Avoid rush hour . I would drive 40 in daytime. Lots of constructionJust drove through Ashville on 40 heading to Hilton Head. Really slow around Ashville due to bridge construction. Added nearly an hour to our trip.
How many people do you think would have interest in a bus from Greensboro to Knoxville for the game Saturday morning since I'm assuming most are flying out.
40 passenger bus is about $85-$90 each
I just looked at rental cars, the mileage and gas costs and figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask a few questions of a bus company and then see where it goes from there. You are the best. I love the way you mobilize the fan base. And I mean "mobilize the fanbase!"
P.S. I would definitely be interested if I weren't going to India tomorrow. What was my boss thinking?
