It's essentially our 1 year since we started this podcast. Technically January like 14th was the release date but I just want to say a special thank you to you guys here in the wrestling forum. I've been very lucky to have so many people grow interested in our sport through my work and have so many casual fans tune in and I love that. It means the world. But, my job started with you guys accepting me as the beat writer here at CF and I appreciate your support over the years as I have grown and evolved in my role. Wrestling means the world to me and I know some of the biggest die-hards live in this forum. I have come a long way from my first year! To see 1 year go by of podcasting with Ben is huge. I am a female in the sport of wrestling and I feel lucky to be able to have the platform I do and to have you guys here supporting me along the way. Your compliments and feedback are very important to me whether positive or negative.

I know that's really cheesy and lame and many of you have reminded me I don't need your approval to know I am doing a good job but even if I don't necessarily NEED it, it means a lot to me to have it still 6 years later and especially one year since I brought a wrestling podcast to life at Cyclone Fanatic with the support of Ben. Who is a fantastic podcast co-host and I hope you guys can tell just how close of friends we've grown to be through this podcast!

I am done being cheesy now! Hope to see some of you this weekend!

I can only speak for myself, but I have enjoyed having a member of the CF staff devoted to wrestling. I think your passion for the sport comes through in your writing and the podcasts - you are genuine. I know through the years there have been other staff members who have attempted to report/comment on the sport of wrestling, but it was obvious the enthusiasm for wrestling was not there and, to me, that is a real difference maker. Frankly, I don't care if you are a male, a female, an aardvark, or a grape, or whatever. I don't even mind if you are still learning things about the sport. The fact that you have committed to providing the best reporting you can possibly give, on a sport that means a lot to me, makes me very happy and excited to keep up on our team, coaches and student-athletes, and helps build my enthusiasm for the season as we head towards March. Thank you Jackie!
