What has kept Butler out of the NFL previously? I asked once and someone responded there was off the field issues but I never heard anything else.

If I recall, I'm pretty sure he got hurt in Arizona. I just always assumed he either didn't bounce back or was viewed as expendable. Definitely wonder if there was more to it...

I’m hardly surprised that Rocco Becht’s dad would pick a former Cyclone first. Not only regional, but I’m taking a wild guess he got some feedback from the staff.

I seem to remember a hand injury before his rookie season but never heard anything after that.

Did kamilo play much here? Am I just not remembering that time period?

He got hurt right away at Arizona and never really got a shot after that. A big reason I'm concerned for Charlie Kolar's future.

Kolar as a rookie who has been hurt all season still got some playing time last week. I think the fact that they didn't just put him in IR for the rest of the season shows that they think highly of him. Not the same as the Butler situation where they basically just left him off the team and weren't interested in getting him on the field.

He was a Rhoads holdover I believe, and last played for Iowa State in Campbell's inaugural season. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I remember. He a solid but nothing special DT. I thought we upgraded the following year when Ray Lima took his spot.

Thanks, I didn't realize he had got some PT last week. I am just concerned with the situation in Baltimore. You already have Mark Andrews there, who is a top 2 or 3 receiving TE in the league, but then you also have Isaiah Likely who was drafted in the same class as Charlie, by the same team, only earlier. He got a lot of playing time this year and looked pretty good. Makes me think Charlie is at best the TE3 on that team.
