Yup. There is a floor for Jack Trice Stadium - probably in the neighborhood of 35,000-40,000 fans - that everything is built on.

Yep. We’ve sat through worse (Drake downpour with punter who couldn’t catch wet ball, Kansas snow bowl, Kansas downpour, CyHawk rain delays, SDSU saga, etc). I do feel sorry for the dog sitter. Dog is just laying around sleeping today, look out if he is playing with other dogs inside tomorrow.
Some of the best games are when the diehard fans are there. It's not a bunch of "Get HIM!!" or "GET RID OF IT" or "COME ON...". This year has been one of the worst in my 25 years in the stadium. So much negativity from the fans. I guess the Johnny-come-lately types that bought their way in when we were good are now the loudest whiners.
Nebraska and Okie games in Ames were really cold. Stood above the bowl at the Cowboy game freeze and, when Dennis Gibson sealed the game with an interception, the neighboring stranger and I started hugging each other and then backed off and talked football. lol
