We haven't done one of these this season. It might create some useful conversation based on both performance and the eye test to this point in time.

1. TCU - only because they get oSu in Ft. Worth and that may not be enough
2. oSu - see above
3. Texas - I'm still picking ISU Saturday
4. K-State - quietly 3-0
5. Baylor - dropped out of sight
6. Ku - I suspect loss #2 at Norman
7. TxT - maybe one slot low
8. ISU - close but no show
9. OU - suspect this will change Saturday
10. WVU - knelling

I think Baylor is going to look solid after their bye week and end up in the championship game.

Us: bad
WV: bad
OU: very bad for their standards

Everyone else: probably not bad

Honorable mention of KU could turn bad without Daniels, as Bean is much more limited, but winning 5 games is already good for them no matter what

Let's rank coaching performances this season instead.

1: KU - drastic improvement in year 2
2: TCU - right back to challenging for the CCG
3: OSU - consistent as always
4: KSU - making AM a winner and playing to his roster's strengths
5: Texas - Are they back? Finally?
6: TxT - Looking like they have a pulse
7: Baylor - not great when you are the defending conference champs
8: ISU - What, exactly, would you say you do here coach?
9: WVU - showing some signs of life against some tough teams.
10: OU - Simply embarrassing considering resources and talent.

Hard to argue with that, although I'd probably put OU above ISU - not based on wins/losses but I think they win the head-to-head and will get it together at some point.

Always instructive in discussions like this ...

I hope so. I placed a fair sized wager on them to hit the over in wins 7.5 and the Big 12 Champion. The wins I'm not too concerned about, but nothing I've seen so far tells me they are a legit threat to win the conference. I would put Oklahoma St and TCU at the top, Texas and K-St in the next tier, Tech, Kansas, and Iowa State in the middle, probably in that order, and the bottom is pretty clearly OU and WVU as of now.

Are you guys concerned about Deuce? He seemed a little banged up by the end of that game Saturday.

He was out the fourth quarter. Klieman said he could not have gone back after the injury, thus the freshman Giddens played the remainder. But he also said Deuce would be ready for TCU. I think his size is starting to reflect in injuries.

Unfortunately, that's not the case for linebacker Khalid Duke, who went out early v. ISU and never returned. Duke is really good and a big loss if he doesn't get back quickly.

That said, AMart remains the absolute key to further success.

I thought Giddens was a much better fit for K-State in the 4th quarter. To me, him and Deuce should split time going forward (thunder and lightning).

Was Duke the one trying to warm up on the sidelines?

Switch osu and tcu. 3, 4, 5 will be interesting, I got BU, KSU, TX. 7-10 also interesting and I won't even guess.

oSu has to play the Frogs in Ft. Worth. And the Pokes have a leaky pass defense. That's why I put them at #2, but also why we play the games.
