That's not a chop. I know you'd think because of the mountains. However when I was in school we had a speaker from Barilla come and speak and they told us that Ames was picked as the location for the plant out of the final 3 cities because the 'rolling hills of Ames IA reminded him of his home in Italy'. True story.
