As a Chiefs fan that has been following training camp, I have seen nothing about him so far. I think he will need some good game time in the pre-season and be excellent in special teams to make the team. I really thought he was going to make the team too.
I completely agree with you. There has been nothing out of training camp about Rose, other than this article. Unfortunately, I think his ceiling for this year is the practice squad.
Yeah, I think he likely is a practice squad guy. Chiefs have Gay, Bolton, Chenal, Carter and Lee all ahead of him at LB.
53 man rosters are brutal and the Chiefs drafted a MLB in the 3rd (I think) round this year. Hope he makes it but will need to have a really good pre-season.
I agree. I was implying that if he's healthy, he'll have a really good preseason.
I am old...I fear Rose might be a bit like Larry Station from the way back Iowa days...just a stellar college LB that never left the field in college but was just too banged up by the time the NFL opportunity came. I hope I am wrong because Mike Rose is a guy that is so easy too root for!
He certainly could be banged up at this point, as he gave everything he had while he was a Cyclone. Hope not though!
Yes, happy for him if true, but this is definitely coming from left field. He has been off the radar screen in Kansas City. Literally have not heard his name mentioned once in training camp discussions.
Thx for the report. I didn't click the article, as I (maybe wrongly so now) haven't heard great things about bleacher. Others can prove me wrong if they have gotten better.
I really hope Mike can stick with this team.
