This is one of the more comprehensive analyses I’ve seen. Most are lazy “pick the top brands” but this is a good weighted average of many things that matter in college sports. Reviewing these (ISU is #27) it’s hard to argue with them.

Interesting how it rates the other Big 12 schools resulting in the conf being the weakest

Fun read. KU and WVU being dead last in two categories can’t help.

You have to think KU would be in big ten if their fb program could’ve done what Snyder did.

Everyone knows FB is the driver but this list treats mens basketball the same as womens crew…that also doesn’t help the conference that has been #1 in hoops those five years with a huge margin over the second best.

Not saying basketball is the factor, but it means a ton more than sports that lose money when you’ve got top programs generating tens of millions annually.

Also there are 8 programs in the list most likely to get a boost.

Texas, OU, USC, UCLA, BYU, UCF, Cincy, Houston

BYU being 40 on a list like that without ever being in a major conference probably means it’ll end up more like 25-30.

Houston is probably only where it is vs Tech, Baylor and TCU because they’ve been up for 10-25 years.

You could argue entire Pac/B12/ACC is going to drop but relative to who? Those 8 are the most likely to rise…then you’ve got a couple schools like WSU and Ore St in legit danger of effective demotion, we know that feeling.
