Huh.

Hunter Dekkers, cannon arm.

Rocco Becht, rocket arm. Rocket Rocco.

JJ Kohl, monster arm.

Hmm…

Serious question. Are we about to become a quarterback factory?
Yes. I suspect one of these guys will end up leaving, but right now ISU is in a great position.

The Big 12 has produced so few successful NFL qbs. Calling it a “factory” is more than a bridge too far.
You should notice that I didn’t say anything about “producing quarterbacks for the NFL”, or about being “the” quarterback factory.

For that matter, I very carefully did not use the term “QBU”.

I’ll be quite satisfied if we simply start producing top flight college quarterbacks regularly. I remember guys like Alex Espinoza and Bob Utter, after all.

One step at a time.

Pretty much all of the power conferences have produced QBs at the same rate. If you look at who was starting at the end of 2021, you’ll see the ACC with six, Pac, B12, SEC all with five, B1G with four, four from G5 and three from FCS. In terms of quality I’d say the Big 12 was fairly strong with Mahomes and Murray. People forget that Tannehill played his whole career in the Big 12 too. Should you decide he doesn’t count, you can now include Zach Wilson from BYU.

I like that we look to have QB's that don't suck but if don't recruit top notch receivers your QB factory is like an auto factory building cars and rolling them out without tires.

A great QB can make decent receivers look great. A poor O-line can make a great QB look like garbage.

So, your definition of “quarterback factory” is having several quarterbacks in a row who don’t suck? Well maybe then. Time will tell.

As our QB production goes…so does our team. This is a great development and the future looks bright.

Best QB on team is always the BU. Not the first time we've had a recruit do we'll at this elite camp. Last one didn't see the field. Put down your drinks cub fans.

Umm…the only other quarterback we’ve had that actually performed well at the Elite 11 is Hunter Dekkers. Not sure how you say he “didn’t see the field”, especially when he’s set to start this Fall.

Works for me!

The QB room looks very bright for the foreseeable future. I hope each one of them has great success.
