Yes, mostly to support the director, who happens to be a high school classmate of mine from Marshalltown.
Did Stalone write it? The storyline reminds me of one of the new movies from the Rocky storyline. Iceman is the Admiral, Maverick comes back to teach Top Gun, and Goose's son is the rogue student.
I've been a pretty big fan of the actor playing Goose's son, but the fact that his name is escaping me probably is a good indication of how much of a priority I'm going to make seeing it.
You're lucky. I saw it. With a date. She loved it. I thought it was dumb.
We broke up (fortunately). And her life was kind of a train wreck at least last I'd heard about 20 years ago. So bullet dodged.

One of the vendors I work with is doing a watch event at Flix this week. I probably wouldn't be seeing it in the theater, but free tickets, food and booze is tough to turn down. I'll have to listen to a 30 min sales pitch, but it's a day away from the office.
I wasn't all that excited for it but the reviews have been off the charts so I'm in at the Palms IMax.
