Thanks so much to @cyclones500 for this thread! Here goes:

Types of food you like in one form, but dislike in another way? Or maybe foods you like/dislike as part of specific dishes)?

I have a girlfriend who loves cookies, but hates cookie dough (which I find to be a horrifying belief, personally). I love bruschetta and salsa, but am not a big tomato fan (including red sauces on pasta).

What are yours?

Don't like fresh veggies but love them in stew/stirfry.

I like thinly sliced ham, but generally don't care for slabs of it

I overall don't like pork (brilliant stance, living in Iowa) - but do enjoy ribs, pepperoni, bacon. I guess as long as you just cure or BBQ the taste out of it.

Tomatoes, I don't like them on burgers or by themselves but I love salsa or in a sauce. I like raw fresh broccoli with some ranch to dip in but I don't like soft cooked broccoli that much.

I will flip your stance on broccoli - I like it steamed or cooked with just a little salt, but that's it. I don't like it raw, or covered in cheese.

Potatoes really in any form other than mashed I like. Just a texture thing to me, like cottage cheese.

I dislike ketchup as a dipping sauce for fries and whatever else you might dip but love it on a hot dog or burger.

Also I have no idea why but I really don’t like hot ham and cheese sandwiches but love grilled cheese sandwiches and also love ham in every other form. But them together just doesn’t do it for me

Onions would be the main option for me. I do not like onions at all on sandwiches/burgers or pizza whether they are raw or cooked. I do enjoy onion in pico de gallo and can tolerate a little red onion in salads though. I also find onion as a necessary ingredient in some recipes as long as it is a relatively minor component.

Would never eat a raw (or cooked) mushroom, but generally enjoy other dishes made with a cream of mushroom soup. Tater tot casserole, green bean casserole etc.
