New turf going down

Pretty cool. Long term, I’m kinda in the field turf camp. Use to be very in favor of natural turf fields, but the newer artificial turf fields are pretty awesome
Isn't the feedback from players that they prefer natural grass to turf for injury purposes. I know field turf has come a long way, but still think natural grass is better on the body.

Anyone that has ever played a sport knows that high level natural turf is superior to artificial. It’s not even a contest. I like field turf…for kids soccer in bad climates.

When I played soccer in high school, artificial turf usually stung more when you hit the grown due to the burns and rashes you'd get from sliding.

Oh wow... I am SOOO surprised that Gunner has a take promoting grass of all things...
Yeah Gunner, I'd thought you be so pissed off at the amount of fertilizer it takes to keep a natural field growing and in good shape. I mean think of all the pollutants that will come off of that field. Or do you only **** on farmers?

We’ve been lucky last couple seasons with mild weather in November…and the grass looking good. Anyone remember that add-in Drake game on Dec 1 (2017?) The grass was beyond deplorable and worse than any high school field I’ve seen.

I used to love our natural grass but strictly in the Field Turf camp also. It looks fantastic on tv — especially a night game in November. Unfortunately I have to give Kinnick props for their field (and I loathe Iowa)

If that was worse than any high school field you've seen, you must not have seen many in IA in Nov/Dec... I see multiple worse than that was every single year...

It's a highly managed turf field that is probably being spoon fed fertilizer on a weekly basis by a team of people so little goes to waste. I don't think there is a lot to worry about here.
