Welcome back to “On That Note,” CF’s weekly go-to for music-listening and discussion, hosted by @MeanDean, @CycloneRulzzz and cyclones500. I’m your host for this segment.
With a nod to “World Laughter Day” (May 1), we indulge laughter-related songs (sort of a flip-side to the crying theme we did in April).
We seek:
(1) Songs that contain audible laughter, or lyrics that allude to laughing (e.g., “ha-ha”)
(2) Songs with titles or lyrics with forms of the word “laugh” (laugh/laughing/laughter)
For lyrical references, we prefer it to be a somewhat prominent part of the song, but it isn’t required (i.e., isolated occurrence is accepted).
Optional: If it's isolated laughter within the clip, note the approximate time stamp.
My first selection is coming with separate post, to get the laughter started.
