So basically Iowa State is ****** but Bama and Kansas have nothing to worry about?

We need to stop trying to confine big business to the amateurism model. If Johnson vs NCAA rule employe status, it gets easier to have regulated compensation like all other big business sports entities
It’s more important that there’s an association with the universities, aka students, than they continue to get illiquid compensation. I’d rather they improve that association than think we can prevent players from getting paid. The taking online classes and living in a different state for all but in-season, and transfer rules, are more a threat to the product

Pretty much. Government forced the NCAA to open up that Pandora's Box (which was exactly the right call) - and the NCAA isn't going to put them evils back in the box.
Little too late for those in power to start giving a **** now. Should of been doing something right after the Supreme Court made their decision regarding NIL.
At this point, there is no harm in the NCAA pushing back. They can push and see how far the courts let them go.
Are collectives “the great equalizer”? We don’t have solo billionaires that can bankroll our whole NIL efforts. They should really just cap what an individual can give per annum.
They probably will opt to save the legal $$ & make some bs rules with obvious loopholes. Boosters don’t have to recruit when an agent can legally do it for em. O ya agents approved by the ncaa
USC out bidding SEC teams for that WR from Pitt was the last straw. NCAA has to jump in and help their boys.
What can they do?
Maybe campaign to get public opinion loud and clear but I'm also guessing most people don't want mega conferences and college athletics getting less interesting.
