Three-star defensive back Cam Smith out of Ohio held other offers but Iowa State secured a commitment from the junior one week after extending an offer.
This kid’s highlights kinda remind me of those of of ‘22 signees Jeremiah Cooper and Terrell Crosby, in that he’s all over the place on both offense and defense. Just making plays.
Ok, I submit the obvious. Smith held offers from Kentucky, Akron, Army, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Illinois State, Marshall, Toledo and Youngstown State.
The Kentucky one is one worth noting. They've had very good defenses lately.
I thought he looked like he had great size for a safety too. Looked bigger than his reported size.
