I haven't seen much buzz about Cy's House of Trivia for Saturday. Should be another fun time after a 2 year hiatus.
Who is going and has anyone heard about who the celebrities may be?
Go Cyclones!

I want to go some year. It won't be this year. But this event seems like so much fun.

As for celebrities, I think it depends on the interpretation. It might just mean Scott Siepker.

There is such a stranglehold on the tables that most of the non-legacy folks don't stand a chance at getting in. I've been twice as a sub.
Hope y'all have fun...

Yeah, if anyone ever needs a sub, or needs a body to fill out a table, let me know! I've done this twice and its great fun.

Applied for the lottery this year but no joy...

Hmmm. Yet, we keep hearing about the need to increase the base of donors and enhance benefits to existing donors. Seems like a larger Cy's House event and/or additional events would be a good way to do so, particularly for an event that generates lots of revenue in and of itself.

It seems that Cy's House is somewhat of an "old boys' club" of folks who got in early. I wonder how much I would have to contribute to the Cyclone Club before they found a way to get me in.

How was it? Hope you had an awesome time!

Fairly sure this is a fun/goodwill type of event and not a serious moneymaker. I'm not sure how you expand it, given space constraints, unless you had multiple events.

Unless there's a massive auction at the same time (which I don't think there is?), this event can't really be much of a moneymaker when compared to the overall budget.

The only way to expand it would be to put it in the Bergstrom, but that would kind of destroy the feel of it.

Tonight was my first ever Cy's House of Trivia thanks to the last minute generosity from @Cycsk , thank you so much. @ImJustKCClone and Lew were part of our table as was @CascadeClone great to meet you. Got to meet @bsaltyman at his table. I had an amazing time if you ever get the chance offered to you like I did today jump at it. You will have a blast. I contributed to our team better than I thought I would.

Biggest celeb we had was Micah Byars but he was great. Shook hands with everyone at the table. I was on the far end from where the celebrity's sat so it was great that he took the time to meet with everyone.

Our two biggest celebs were Kyle Kempt and Latoja Schaben (there for the final round, which was nice because she and I got to talk more). Another great evening of trivia and fun. We struggled some with the first three rounds, but made up some ground in the final five. Happy that we got to do Cy's House again after a three year gap between events!
