HBO Documentary “The Scheme”

Has anybody watched this yet? I watched it and it was interesting. Some parts I thought were s stretch, but it’s a strange story how the FBI essentially we’re pushing the whole pay the coaches angle. Also, it’s still strange that Greg McDermott was paying players.

I am sure it goes on a lot, but people like Miller and Wade to do a press conference and lie just bothers me.

I watched it tonight. It definitely could have been shorter, but I thought it was engaging for most of it.

Couple thoughts: the documentary clearly is trying to make Dawkins look like the victim in this. By no means do I think he is innocent, but I did tend to agree with him that the FBI went in on this just to only charge him..?

Obviously we’ve seen the quotes from Miller and Wade, but to actually listen to their phone calls about strong a** offers and paying Ayton 10k a month was really interesting

Agree. They talked a lot about Dawkins background growing up to try and paint a certain picture of him. If this guy was such a smart businessman, then how did he get popped and fired for his Uber issue? His new business didn’t seem to have much of a business plan and all he was was some sort of hustler. Didn’t seem like the business had much of a purpose besides trying to capitalize on relationships with coaches.
