Really the only thing I can think of is bragging rights and internet supremacy over other ISU fans, but there has to be something else?

I get exciting entertainment. An escape from the day to day lulls. When we suck at sports, it leaves a bit of a void. It’s fun to be able to check out for a few hours and watch the sports I love, but I need to see effort and heart.

It's just entertainment in the end. But it is entertainment in which you can get emotionally invested. So much so that you can start to feel like a part of the team to some small extent.

Emotion comes with the good and bad. Embrase both. Without all the kicks to the nuts you don't enjoy those few wins as much.

It takes all the fun out of being a fan, or even watching or going to games when ISU sucks. Really look forward to the games when ISU is good, just check the scores when they are bad. Losing sucks.
