Really the only thing I can think of is bragging rights and internet supremacy over other ISU fans, but there has to be something else?

Women, money, and power. In that order.
I get exciting entertainment. An escape from the day to day lulls. When we suck at sports, it leaves a bit of a void. It’s fun to be able to check out for a few hours and watch the sports I love, but I need to see effort and heart.
It's just entertainment in the end. But it is entertainment in which you can get emotionally invested. So much so that you can start to feel like a part of the team to some small extent.
Emotion comes with the good and bad. Embrase both. Without all the kicks to the nuts you don't enjoy those few wins as much.

What does one get out of ISU being bad?
If they're good it's fun to be a part of the conversation instead of 'Why would anyone be an ISU fan?'

When it comes to eating pizza, this is the kingpin. 40 pizzas in 30 days. Unreal.
I’m not going to speak for him but in my head I just want a competitive well coached team. Losses happen but right now they are **** losses to **** teams. It’s not fun.

Why care about anything? We all die at the end of the day anyways.
Never underestimate the value of bragging rights when your family is full of or you work with a bunch of TOE fans.
