Not to be that guy, but see my post above. Cleveland was the street they lived on the city was actually in Indiana. Fictional city, but based on Hammond, Indiana.
We just went to a play where they re-enact the reading of It's A Wonderful Life onstage as a 40's radio show. Sound effects, live radio singing adverts, everything it was EXCELLENT!

I think Chicago had Christmas With The Kranks. Is a Christmas Story supposed to be in the Chicago area even though it was shot in Cleveland?
Yeah, but the dad was complaining about the Bears in one scene. I'd go Chicago on that one.
