This new video and the details released by Pollard seem to point things in this direction.

One poster has noted that the band led out with their “Sousaphones” which I believe is a nerd word for Tubas. The poster watched many other Iowa band videos and noticed that at no other time were the “Sousaphones” the lead out instrument.

Was this an intimidation tactic being that “sousaphones” are large metal objects?

Do these instruments require wild swinging to be played properly?

The Sousaphone is a redesigned tuba so it can be carried easier in a marching band.

We can joke about it, but that is the actual question the media and Barta should be asking.

The only investigation that should be done is whether the Iowa band acted inappropriately (yes), if not criminally. How many people did the Iowa band assault while ramming over one hundred 18-22 year-olds carrying metal objects through a crowd? Doubtful they were saying, please, either.

They even probably attacked or accosted some of their own. Brutal.

Assault is used far too easily these days. So no. But they certainly instigated this, whatever, this waste of time has been.
Well, the legal definition of assault in addition to actual physical harm and unwanted physical contact can include the attempt or even threat of such physical harm or contact.
