I spent some time in Ames after college so I have two separate lists for favorite bars.
College days:

Postgrad days (with trips to Torrent and Alluvial mixed in):

Freddy Got Fingered is considered by many movie nerds to be the worst movie of all time. I will say that I don't mind Green sometimes, but he can be a bit much.
In my college days at ISU in the late 80's (yes I'm old).... my favorite bar was Lost and Found above Cy's Roost.
I was kinda like CW and didn't "like people" (crowds), so Lost and Found was awesome because it was so chill and they played the best music by far IMO.

I remember the "old" Es Tas on Welch. I think we'd go in for cheap Jaeger bombs, and leave.
