SUMMER SERIES: Iowa State media history, 10 years of CF Media Co.

I really enjoyed this podcast and give it an A+. The history of this site as well as both of your guys thoughts on the state of the newspaper world (and media world in general)and how it's changed. Very interesting from start to finish!!
I wanted to add that I thought Frank Snyder and George Turner were the first voices of the Cyclones and Pete followed them.

Good podcast to listen to, I also remember Frank Snyder and George Turner doing games before Pete.

With the changing landscape of social media I would of liked to hear both of your thoughts on the sometimes out of control message boards and the impact of the negative threads on recruiting.

It boils down to a semantics argument, I suppose. Dale Williams and Frank Snyder were on WOI in '66-'67. At that time, WOI fed a "Cyclone Network" that included 15-20 stations. So, for most, Dale Williams was the "Voice".

However, there was no exclusivity, so other stations could originate their own broadcasts. KRNT wasn't part of the Cyclone Network, so Bud Sobel (or occasionally Ron Gonder) was their "Voice".

By 1974, the WOI-fed Cyclone Network was up to 55 stations, with Snyder and Turner. KRNT and KMA still did their own broadcasts.
