Highways 3 & 4

Just drove both of these highways this past weekend. They are in extremely poor condition, especially Hwy 4 from Highway 20 north to Emmetsburg! Felt like parts of my vehicle were falling off! Any idea of how soon they will be upgraded/repaired? Any other nominees for worst state or national highway in Iowa?

Highway 3 is being re-done right now across Butler County. It was in really poor shape there and in many other places.

IIRC, 3 is pretty nice in the western half of the state.

When we first moved to Humboldt, Highway 3 still had curbs on the sides. When it rained, that road was a *****.
