Currently a Bovada user and don't really like it. Live betting is clunky. They've "lost" some of my wagers before, which luckily I had record of and was able to resolve, but was a pain in the butt. They restricted my limit after I made a killing on MMA.

What do you use for your sportsbook? I mainly wager on MMA, MLB, NFL and NCAAF.

My friend screen shoots his slips on bovada then sends them to a bookie. No live betting but at least you don’t have to worry about payment issues.

In less than a year you should be able to bet legally in Iowa, so I would suggest suffering with Bovada until then.

Check signature. Nitrogen is all bitcoin based betting. Never had any issues with them, they don't do teasers and some wonky side bets like Bovada. Plus payment within 30min usually (to Bitcoin)

It'd be best if you have a local intermediary/bookie to handle it. He would set you up with an account offshore and you would then place your wagers online. You settle up with the local guy and he settles up for you (and all his other customers) with the offshore bookmaker. Gotta believe you can find this type of arrangement if you look around...just gotta find the right watering hole and develop some trust or have someone vouch for you.

Bookmaker.eu

Just went to the site. Not sure I'd want to wire money and/or mess with trying to get my winnings. I prefer to shop locally. :) Plus if you're local you don't have to pay upfront.

To each his own.

PS: In game wagering (as opposed to a halftime line) just gives the book another edge, given the 10-15 second broadcast delay.

I have never had an issue getting my money. I get a check via fed ex about 10 days from withdrawl.

Regarding sports wagering, I'm convinced that college is a better bet than the Pros...bigger talent differentials in college.

And basketball is superior to football in that basketball runs truer to form. In football you only get 13 or so possessions and one or two bad calls (or other random variables) can kill a spread. In Bball, with 70+ possessions the bad calls tend to even out...kinda like a poll has a lower margin of error the bigger the number of respondents in the poll.

What ever your preferred sport is, you'd better study hard and know your stuff. It's hard to beat 11 to 10 in the long run.
