    Comparison of Sturdy to Leach

    I watched almost all of Washington State's games when Sturdy was OC there and early in his tenure their offensive lines and defense were horrible. Once they solidified their Offensive line his offense ranked 12th in the nation.

    No relation, have known him a long time as well as several other D1 coaches throughout the country in various sports. Have always watched a lot of late night PAC 12 football so when he was at WSU I enjoyed watching the games. I'm biased, but he's a good coach.

    I watched every game and WSU's offense was very potent despite using a 3rd string QB for much of the season and a terrible offensive line.

    Sturdy took a "lesser position" that pays $30,000 more than he made at WSU.

    Holgorsen didn't undermine anyone. He was to take over as head coach the following year and Bill Stewart approached a former Pittsburgh Post Gazette writer to "dig up dirt" on Holgorsen.     OC's available at the end of the season...

    Because I know them. Sturdy lived with and played football with Holgorsen's brother Brett at St. Ambrose. Incidentally Brett Holgorsen's son is a highly recruited QB in Texas. Both Dana and Sturdy have ties to Mike Leach and Hal Mumme from when Dana was at Iowa Wesleyan.

    I agree with Ken Miller, Rhoads needs to be accountable

    Everyone always talks about the "situation on offense" with not much mention of the defense. It could be argued that the offense is better than the defense.
