NDSU did us a favor tonight IMO
Honestly, no one gives 2 ***** about strength of schedule unless you are in the national title race. 6+ wins are 6+ wins, regardless of who its against. -

You are correct, I'll admit when I'm wrong. He came to play for Johnny Major(s?) and it was he who made that ultimatum. Bruce's name came to my mind first. Matt actually played his senior year under Bruce however. -

Fun fact: Matt Blair mainly played basketball along with football up until Earl Bruce made him pick between being on the cyclone football team or the cyclone basketball team. I think we all know how this story ends. -
Just to clarify
If i recall less then a couple weeks ago most of this board was hoping to be lucky enough to SPLIT Oklahoma and walk away with 1 win. Well we got that win. And now that we lost and got that 1-1 split everyone is preaching the end of the world with hell an high water. Did I sum that up about...- Selere

Anyone else think it is funny?
I dont know much about football coaching, do college coaches go to the NFL a lot? It seems like a COMPLETELY different work ethic, experience, management, and just about everything. It will be interesting to see how he adapts. -

I don't find it rather funny at all. It certainly sucks that once coaches get "good" they start getting hired away from places. Props to him if that's what he wanted, shame on him if it was just for the money. Imagine if someone hired away Rhoads right now (easy there boys just hypothetical)... -

It's more of a respect thing. It actually is a common occurance in college football (or maybe just the B1G which is what I grew up with).
