Bad news, Buckwheat. ISU is already at the minimum number of sports to remain in D-1. I just thank the Gods that none of the geniuses posting in this thread advocating for Hockey or Baseball are actually in a position of authority in the ISU A.D. --Relic -

That is not correct. The CWC is technically not an RTC. The list of recognized RTCs is linked below. Currently (until the CRTC is established), the closest RTC is the one in Cedar Falls and the next closest is in Iowa City. That's a lot of acronyms: CWC = Cyclone Wrestling Club RTC =... -

It was my understanding that the CRTC would have its own coaches, separate from the ISU staff. So it doesn't really matter if Coach Dresser's assistants have freestyle experience or not. -

Interesting points. But assistant coaches in wrestling have a far greater ability to impact results than in football. And the results have not been good. To Buf's point, I think if AD Pollard can make a solid hire, there's at least a decent chance that attrition (including recruiting losses)... -

That may be true, but he definitely took his time arriving for the interview. I hope he's not that nonchalant about the other aspects of coaching ISU wrestling (and judging by the wrestling today, he may be.) Relic -

I watched the video feed for at least 20 minutes after the creepy CTB conference, coach Jackson was a no-show and the Cy.tv feed moved on to regularly scheduled programming (which was awesome, btw.) If he eventually showed up, no on was there to actually witness it. Relic -

I'm basing this not on the results of today's match (regardless of how pathetically the clones wrestled), rather on how he reacted to most of the losing wrestlers as they walked off the mat. He mostly just shook his head at them as they walked off. Definitely the sign of a coach who's not...
