Venues for a wedding/reception in the DM-Ames area
My wife and I had our reception at the Science Center. It was in the Founder's Hall which is behind where you get tickets. We had about 200-250 people. Lots of color and had a modern feel to it. I think they do weddings/receptions in the planetarium too but those are pretty small. -

The new KU coach would effectively have to re-recruit their players. Who knows what they'll end up with. -
Mediacom - NFL Network News
True that the mediacom speed is around 5-8 Mbps. My folks generally get 7 Mbps but they advertise up to 12 Mbps. You can also get 3 or 20 Mbps too. Qwest has a bunch of different levels. 1.5 Mbps is their basic, but they also have 7, 12 and 20 Mbps all with similar pricing to mediacom with... -

I thought this a while back but it was also brought to my attention that traditionally Iowa does better down the stretch and we seem to fizzle. So I'm okay with it where it is. As far as the bye week stuff, this was one of those years that we just didn't have one until the end of the year... -

Bad games from Arnaud, Herman, and Rhoads yesterday
Last year, I remember our onside kick success percentage being pretty high. So it would be closer to buying 50 - 75% of all the lottery tickets and hoping the winning ticket isn't in the 25% - 50% of the tickets you don't have. However, I don't remember any of them being surprise ones so I guess... -

No Huddle?
At least do a couple quick snaps to keep the defense honest. We just need to settle down and not try to go for long passes every down. The 5-6 yards a play will get you down the field you just have to have some patience. The no huddle doesn't mean no patience. The no huddle is all about control. -

This was the argument I received the most two years ago; that Iowa State wanted to win more. Duh! But then they'd claim that it's our super bowl and we'd just as well win the one game instead of all our others or at least instead of winning the Big 12 North. I guess I could believe they'd be... -
