Disagree just because the nightmare that 14 has on scheduling. That is the problem the SEC is finding out.. the plan is 12 or 16, 14 would just be a momentary stopgap- laxtonto

UVA is probably a solid add.. nothing flashy, but not the end of the world anyways. The only way we are going to 16 is with ND anyways, so adding UVA would strengthen that cluster, add a fast growing state and give another boost in the arm to the academic side. The best way to explain why this is a HUGE deal is a matter of simple economics... The Rosebowl, the closest competitor to this recieves 30M annually in TV revenue.. That is then siphoned through whoever is running the Rosebowl and then you get the substantially lesser payout to the teams... -

I hate to say it, but there will not ever be a N/S alignment again.. I would almost go as far and guarantee that OU and UT will never be on the same side of the conference again if they go to 12. The weak North is one of the reasons why the old Big 12 blew up. No one wanted to watch the North...- laxtonto

Defensive Holding = Automatic 1st Down??
PF are not always at the end of the play, they just normally are the result of action after the play. Defensive holding in college is is a first down on passing downs, but not on running plays if I remember correctly. I might need to find my NCAA rulebook pdf if no one has a concrete answer. -
Take away the penalties/turnovers and we outplayed UT
At one point UT was playing with 9 Fr, 1 Soph, and 1 Jr out there. Those where the times that ISU where playing with them or even pulling away. Throwing out platitudes for this game just makes it seem like you are making an excuse for the team. There is no excuse. They lost. UT won, move on... -
