    Barnett took some real shots...avoidable ones. We may still need Steele as a QB.

    Today was a good win, but this is a bit ridiculous...

    there were plenty of times where we were outscored by something like 28 in the first half, but because we outscored the opponents by 7 in the second, Mac would say "at least we won the second half." This was his signature move (aside from sitting on a 3 pt lead in the second quarter).

    Standford and USC are not without their own problems. I't not clear to me that they are head and shoulders better than Michigan.

    We could have Walden come in to help us implement the wishbone. As I write this, I depressingly realize that the early 90s ISU wishbone was a more effective offense than what we have now.

    Perhaps, but it's hard to imagine the O performing any worse with Barnett at the helm. Something new needs to be tried...

    Dan McCarney and the Mean Green

    Walden v. Mac...an old fashioned flame war that never gets old. Wait...yes it does. I think they were both average to above average coaches that suffered from a lack of institutional support, football tradition, and top notch ADs. Thank God we're in a better place now.
