    So how good is the Big 12 in Basketball this year?

    Could also mean a year where the mid-majors shine, but outside of SDSU (who was better last year) and St. Mary’s (who is good but isn’t “Gonzaga at its peak” good), who would that be? There aren’t any mid-majors this year that are screaming “look at me” yet… then again, did anyone see FAU coming...

    The only team I really want no part of is UConn in Boston (that's like MSU in Auburn Hills back in 2000). Everyone else - bring it.

    yeah - you don't have me convinced on that one. sure, they beat Alabama, but they also just lost to LSU... and they lost to Gonzaga on their own home court. They just don't scare me.

    IMO the WF students were idiots for plowing into players, but Duke players knew that the court was going to be stormed and lingered right in the middle of the court anyway. So yeah - I think the Duke player shares some of the blame for getting injured.

    While it would have been nice to be tied with Houston again, Baylor losing also helps us - it puts Baylor 2 games behind us for 2nd - which solidifies 2-seed and double bye in the Big 12 Tournament... and in most Brackets it probably kicks Baylor out of and puts us in Omaha as well.

    hell - we take care of our own business - win out and get at least to the Big 12 championship game - and we don't have to worry about Baylor being in Omaha either.

    I couldn't care less about Kentucky (they scream "paper tiger" to me)... but I want no part of the East Region - not with UConn playing anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic or Northeast.

    I agree we're probably more a 2 than a 3 at this point, but it's also kind of hard to argue when they (was that the selection committee - or was that CBS acting "official"?) did the release of the "official" top 16 seeds if the season were to end now, ISU was at a 3 and 11 overall. Granted...
