    I was present - amazing atmosphere and great game - OU was loaded with Tisdale, Mookie Blaylock and a young Stacy King - in my memory they were #2 in the polls - many “Sit Down Tubbs” jeers that happy day!

    Seems a bit harsh! I specifically said it’s not the “be all end all” stat, but it’s not “garbage” either. It’s been in NBA box scores for years so obviously people see some merit. I’ll stop now because sentimentality blinds people on this topic.
